Omni ROM for Galaxy S3! Multi-Window [All Variants]

Omni ROM for the Galaxy S3 AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon, Cricket, Metro, and U.S Cellular variants. This ROM is quite a unique ROM for a couple of reasons. First of all it comes with multi-window on an AOSP based ROM. Second, this ROM is made from Chainfire and other major developers.

 The coolest feature in this ROM is the multi-window. You can add any 2 apps and make them run side by side in both portrait and landscape mode. While you can't adjust it if you want one app to be bigger than the other this is still a very good start!

 On top of that cool feature Omni ROM also includes the Moto X Active Display which will work just as great on a Galaxy S3 since it has an LED display. One other feature is, OmniSwitch that gives you recent, favorites, and software navigation keys on the left side of your screen.

 If you launch the camera app in quick settings the camera will appear only the small square. By tapping on it, you will be able to take pictures really quickly, really useful when you only have a quick moment before it's too late! AOKP ROM for the Galaxy S4 T-Mobile, AT&T, Canadian, Verizon, Sprint, U.S Cellular, and Cricket variants is all based off the latest Android version, Android 4.4.2. AOKP ROM is currently one of the most popular ROMS for a wide variety of Android devices. 

 Even though this ROM is based off the nightly build I haven't seen any major problems with this ROM. Features like your WiFi, Data, calling, camera, etc all work without any problems at all! However, some AOKP features don't seem to be working and will probably get fixed when the next nightly is released. 

 AOKP ROM offers quite of bit of features for your Galaxy S4 handset. All within ROM control in Settings you have features like recent RAM bar, tap the status bar to sleep, change the function of the hardware keys, and my favorite one that allows you to change toggle to the traditional scrollable option above notifications!

Have a Windows computer? Click here to root any Galaxy S3 on Windows! 

Please DO NOT try this on the international GT-i9300 Galaxy S3!!

This method will ONLY work for U.S. and Canadian Galaxy S3 Variants! That includes T-Mobile SGH-T999, AT&T SGH-i747, Verizon SCH-i535, Sprint SPH-L710, U.S Cellular, and any Canadian Galaxy S3!

This guide will root your Galaxy S3 on any Mac OSX/Linux/Ubuntu computer.
Why would you want to root your tablet?
Rooting will allow you to get full access to your tablet. It gives you "admin" control for everything on your phone so nothing is unrestricted to the user. If you are coming from an Apple product it's like jailbreaking except 100x better!


 1. Turn on USB debugging. Go into "Settings" > "Developer Options" > Check Mark "USB debugging". 
If you don't see developer options then go into the "More" tab then "About device" tap on build number about 10 times until it says "You are now a developer" and then go back and you should have USB debugging. 


 2. Plug in your phone via microUSB and the other end to the USB port of your computer. 


 3. Download the motochopper file using the link below and move it to your desktop!

 Download motochopper

4. Open Terminal and type these commands:
Note: Make sure your Mac OSX/Linux computer has a password before typing in these commands!

 cd Desktop
cd motochopper
chmod 755 *
sudo sh run.sh 


 5. Once the script has started press enter to root your phone and allow USB debugging.


 6. When the process has finished press enter again to reboot your phone. 


 7. Once your phone has finished rebooting go into your app drawer you should have SuperUser app. You can now install and use root apps! 


 To confirm your phone is rooted install an app like Titanium Backup and see if you get SuperUser request. 


 FAQ:
Q: My terminal is stuck on "waiting for device", what should I do?
A: Unplug your phone and plug it back in, also make sure you allow USB debugging when it pops up on your phone's screen. 

 Q: How can I install ClockworkMod Recovery? 
A: Install ROM Manager app from the Play Store to install ClockworkMod Recovery on your phone without a computer.

AOKP is a great ROM for multiple reasons. Specfically in this build new features were added like, unlimited amount of widgets on your lockscreen, put any type of widget on your lockscreen, and so many other great features!

 This ROM also is very stable and can definitely be used as a daily driver. Using AOKP as your daily driver you will experience alot of great features that you don't usually get with other ROMS.

How to Install ClockworkMod on any Galaxy S3! [No Computer] [ATT, T-Mobile, i9300, Verizon]

You MUST already be rooted! 
Click here on how to root Galaxy S3 on Mac!
If you used my Windows guide then you already have ClockworkMod Recovery installed on your phone. 

This guide will work for ANY Galaxy S3. 

1. Download ROM Manager from the Google Play Store. 


2. Open up the app and select "Flash Recovery". 


3. Select the correct recovery for your phone.


4. Once you get notified that ClockworkMod Recovery is done, your finished. 


5. You can enter into ClockworkMod Recovery mode manually or using the ROM Manger app.

cd GalaxyS3RootUSCanadaMac

If you get any problems, try restarting your computer and using a different USB port. 


6. Your phone will reboot once or twice depending what type of phone your using.


7. Once your phone has finished rebooting install "SuperUser" from the Google Play Store and your phone will now rooted! 


Note: This method only roots your phone, it doesn't install ClockworkMod Recovery. 
Using ROM Manager from the Google Play Store to install ClockworkMod Recovery.
