Once you have finished the guide the Nexus 6 will be safe enough to send back to the manufacture/carrier without any issues! 

This guide will completely remove any signs of root, custom recovery, modding, and will even unbrick the Nexus 6 and remove any and all personal information!


Note: This will remove all personal information from the Nexus 6! Backup any and all important information that you don't want to lose!!


Follow the guide below to completely unroot the Nexus 6!


1. Power off the Nexus 6.



2. Press and hold the power button and volume down button at the same time until you see a green "Start" on the screen.



3. Plug in your phone via microUSB.



4. Download and unzip UnrootNexus6.zip using the download link below.

5. Move the unzipped folder "UnrootNexus6" to your desktop!



If your on Mac/Linux/Ubuntu skip step 6!


6. Open up "Device Manager" on your Windows computer. If you see "Android USB Devices" with a yellow triangle next to it install the drivers that are included in the UnrootNexus6 folder. If you see "Android Single ADB Interface" in the drop down tab with no yellow triangle move to step 7. 



7. Open Command Prompt on Windows or Terminal for Mac/Linux/Ubuntu. Follow the commands below and press enter after each line:

cd Desktop

fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-shamu-moto-apq8084-71.05.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-shamu-d4.0-9625-02.55.04.img

8. Unplug your phone and press the volume down up you see "Recovery mode". Then press the power button. 


9. You might see a Android figure laying down with a red triangle. To fix this press the volume up, down, and power button at the same time for 5 or 6 times in a row until you see text on the screen. 


10. Once you see text on the screen navigate down to "wipe data/factory reset" and select "Yes -- delete all user data". You can navigate by using the volume up/down and power button. This will take about 5 minutes, be patient!


11. Navigate to "wipe cache partition" and select it. 


12. Lastly, select "reboot system now".


13. Now your phone will fully boot up with the setup screen, just like the day you first bought the Nexus 6! All signs of rooting, ROMS, custom recoveries, or modding has been completely removed!

Q: I just finished the last step, is it safe enough to send back to the manufacture/carrier?
A: Yes, completely! You have fully unrooted the Nexus 6 and locked your bootloader, you're good to go!

While Google keeps adding features that makes rooting less and less of a necessity there are still a TON of features that you can only access if you're rooted. Luckily for us rooting a Nexus 6 isn't too much of a hassle since Google doesn't mind users messing around with their device, go Google!

Rooting the Nexus 6 will open a whole new world for your Android device. You will have access to custom ROMS, MODS, and great root apps like Titanium Backup! With just a few commands your Nexus 6 will be rooted!

Warning: This will remove ALL information on your Nexus 6! Backup any important information!!

Follow the guide below to root the Nexus 6!

1. Go into Settings > About phone and tap on "Build number" 5 for 6 times until it says "You are now a developer!".


2. Press the back button once and choose "Developer options" and make sure that "Enable OEM unlock" is check marked.


3. Power off your phone.


4. Press and hold the power button and volume down button at the same time until you see a green "Start" on the screen.


5. Plug in your phone to your computer via microUSB.


6. Download and unzip RootNexus6.zip using the download link below. Move the folder to your desktop!

Skip step 7 if you're on Mac/Linux/Ubuntu!

7. Open up "Device Manager" on your Windows computer. If you see "Android USB Devices" with a yellow triangle next to it install the drivers that are included in the RootNexus6 folder. If you see "Android Single ADB Interface" in the drop down tab with no yellow triangle move to the next step.

If you don't know how to install the USB drivers Google search it!


8. Open Command Prompt on Windows or Terminal for Mac and Linux/Ubuntu computers. Type the command below and press enter after each line: 

Windows: 
cd Desktop
cd RootNexus6
fastboot oem unlock

Mac:
cd Desktop
cd RootNexus6
./fastboot-mac oem unlock

Linux/Ubuntu:
cd Desktop
cd RootNexus6
./fastboot-linux oem unlock


9. The Nexus 6 should now display "Unlock bootloader?". Select "Yes" and then press the power button.


10. Press the power button again and your device will now automatically reboot. This boot will take a few minutes since it just did a factory reset! Once it's fully booted up you can setup your phone.


11. Connect the Nexus 6 to your computer and transfer "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.40.zip". This zip file is located in the RootNexus6 folder. 

Mac users can use Android File Transfer to transfer the zip file to the Nexus 6.


12. Enter back into Bootloader mode. Repeat steps 3-5.


If your on Mac/Linux/Ubuntu skip step 13. 

13. Open up "Device Manager" again and if you don't see "Android Single ADB Interface" repeat step 7.


14. Go back to Command Prompt or Terminal and type in this command and press enter after each line. 

Windows: 
fastboot flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.8.2.0-shamu.img

Mac:
./fastboot-mac flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.8.2.0-shamu.img

Linux/Ubuntu:
./fastboot-linux flash recovery openrecovery-twrp-2.8.2.0-shamu.img


15. We're almost done! On the Nexus 6 keep pressing the volume down until you see "Recovery mode" and then press the power button.


16. You will now see a screen with options like "Install", "Wipe", "Backup", etc. Go ahead and select "Install".


17. Scroll down and select "UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.40.zip".


18. Slide your finger to confirm the installation.


19. Now select "Reboot System" and wait until the device is done booting up. Congrats, you just rooted your Nexus 6!


If you look in your app drawer you will see an app called SuperSU. You can confirm that you have root by installing an app like Titanium Backup and see if you get Superuser request, if you do then your rooted!

How to Unroot/Unbrick Galaxy Note 4!


Getting rid of root, a custom ROM, or just want to go back to complete stock on your Note 4 is straight forward with this step-by-step guide. This guide will restore your Galaxy Note 4 back to complete stock just like the day you first bought it. It's even safe enough to send back to the carrier! 


Follow this guide to:

  • Unroot the Galaxy Note 4
  • Unbrick the Galaxy Note 4
  • Restore the Galaxy Note 4 to stock factory settings
This guide will work on every Galaxy Note 4 variant including:
  • T-Mobile SM-N910T Galaxy Note 4
  • Sprint SM-N910P Galaxy Note 4
  • AT&T SM-N910A Galaxy Note 4

Follow the step-by-step guide below to get started!

1. If your phone is plugged in, unplug it and power off your phone completely. Press and hold the volume down, home center button, and power button all at the same time until you see "Warning!!" on the screen.


2. Press the volume up to continue, you should now see "Downloading...". Plug in your phone via microUSB to your computer


3. Download Odin and the stock firmware using the links below. Remember to download the correct stock firmware for your specific model number!!

Download Stock Firmware for Galaxy Note 4

4. Unzip Odin3v185 and then open up Odin3v185.exe. You should see a box highlighted in yellow in the left part in Odin. If you don't see a yellow box download and install Samsung USB drivers and re-open Odin. 


5. Unzip the stock firmware you downloaded in step 3, in that folder you will see a file that ends in tar.md5.


6. In Odin click on "PDA", then locate and select the tar.md5 file. 


7. Check that only "Auto Reboot" and "PDA" are checked marked! 


8. Click "Start". You can keep track of the progress with the green status bar in Odin and a status bar on your Note 4. It will take around 5-10 minutes. 


9. Once Odin says "PASS!" you can unplug your phone.


10. You will see an Android figure on the Note 4's screen. Wait until you see  "Samsung Galaxy Note 4" and then take out the battery and put it back in. 


11. We're now going to enter into Recovery Mode! Hold the volume up, home center, and power button all at the same time. When you feel a vibration let go of the power button, but keep holding onto the volume up and home button. 


You can navigate in Recovery Mode by using the volume up/down and power button.


12. Select "wipe data/factory reset" and choose "Yes". 


13. Now choose "reboot system now". 


14. Wait until your phone is completely powered on and you're done! You have fully unroot, unbricked, and reset your phone back to complete stock. 


FAQ: 

Q: Odin shows a blue box instead of a yellow box that you mentioned on step 4. 
A: That's fine. As long as it shows a blue or yellow box continue to the next step.

Q: The yellow box isn't being show in Odin. 

A: If you haven't already, install the Samsung USB drivers, change the USB ports, and use the original Samsung USB cable that came with the Note 4. If any of those suggestions don't work switch to a different computer. 

Q: Will this reset my flash counter back to 0?
A: Currently there isn't a method to reset the flash counter on the Galaxy Note 4, as soon as a possible method is available I will make a guide for it!

How to Root Galaxy Note 4!

7. Click on PDA and locate a file similar to "CF-Auto-Root-XXXXXtar.md5" This file is located in the folder you unzipped in step 6. 

8. You should see a blue highlighted box with a COM number, if you don't see this download and install the Samsung USB drivers

9. Click on "Start" and your Galaxy Note 4 will start to be rooted.

10. Odin will now show "RESET!". If you get stuck or something goes wrong change the USB port and USB cable and try it again. 

11. The Galaxy Note 4 will reboot and you will have an app called "SuperSU" in your app drawer. 

12. Open up the SuperSU app and update the SU binary and disable KNOX if asked to. 

Congrats, you're done! You have successfully rooted your Galaxy Note 4 in less than 5 minutes! Enjoy taking full advantage of your phone!

FAQ: 
Q: Odin said "FAIL".
A: Redo the Odin process again, change USB cable, change USB ports, and try Odin on a different computer.

Q: I don't see a blue highlighted box in Odin. 
A: If you don't see the blue box in Odin refer to step 8 to download and install the Samsung USB drivers, restart your computer, and open up Odin again. 

Q: Will this trip my flash counter?
A: Yes, unfortunately there isn't any way to root your Galaxy Note 4 without tripping the flash counter.

How to Root LG G3! [All U.S Variants]


It's finally here! After many people asking where the root method is for the Sprint LG G3 or any other U.S LG G3 variant it finally came out thanks to IOMonster and the team! Root allows you to get "admin" access to your phone. Without being rooted you are extremely limited, even with an Android phone. 

Root will allow you to install custom ROMS like Cyanogenmod, AOKP, Paranoid Android, and many other ROMS. You can also use root apps like Titanium Backup that allows you to backup and restore your app + app data, I use this app every time I get a new phone! 

Follow the simple guide below to root your Sprint LS990 or any other U.S LG G3 variant! 

1. Go into Settings > Security > and check mark "Unknown sources". 

2. Download Stump-v1.0.0.apk to your phone using the link below.

Download Stump-v1.0.0.apk

3. Install "Stump-v1.0.0.apk" by tapping on it. You can install a file manager app from the Play Store to find it. If you downloaded the apk directly to your phone it will be located in your "Download" folder. 

4. Open up the installed Stump app and tap on "Grind". 

5. When it says "Reboot to root", reboot your phone. 

6. Download and install SuperSU from the Play Store using the link below.

7. Open up the SuperSU app and update anything with "Normal" if asked.
