How to Install Android 4.4 Kit Kat on Moto X Verizon! [Official]


I seemed like just days that Google announced Android 4.4 Kit Kat to the world, but now it looks like Motorola has worked hard to be one of the very first manufactures to release an update to Android 4.4 Kit Kat for the Moto X Verizon! 

This update for Android 4.4 Kit Kat to the Moto X will bring attention to detail on Android and adding new features to it as well. You will also get improved speed, a much more smooth experience, and improved battery life. 

Before you processed make sure that your Moto X is unrooted and on stock recovery using this guide.

1. Download the Android 4.4 Kit Kat update for the Moto X Verizon called "Blur_Version.139.15.1.ghost_verizon.Verizon.en.US.zip" using the link below:

2. Transfer the zip file you downloaded in step 1 to your Moto X phone.

3. Enter into recovery mode by powering down your phone. Then press and hold the power button and volume down and the same time for a few seconds and let go.

4. Once the Fastboot screen loads, press the volume down to highlight “Recovery” and then press the volume up to select it.

5. A green Android figure should appear, now press the power and volume up to enter recovery.''

6. Choose “apply update from sdcard” by pressing the volume down to highlight it and then power button to select.

7. Find the zip file that you transferred to your internal storage.

8.  Highlight it using volume down, then press the power button to select it.

9.  Your Moto X 
will now update to Android 4.4 Kit Kat. 

10. Reboot your phone and enjoy the sweet taste of Android 4.4 Kit Kat!

How to Unroot/Install Official 4.1.1 Jelly Bean on Galaxy S3 SGH-T999 T-Mobile!


What will unrooting my Samsung Galaxy S3 do to my phone? If you follow this process step by step it will completely restore your phone back to 100% complete stock 4.1.1 Jelly Bean, just like the day you bought your phone. It's also safe enough to send back to Samsung without Samsung knowing you ever installed ClockworkMod Recovery or rooted your phone. 

This will delete everything from your internal sd card (internal memory) on your Galaxy S3! BACKUP your photos, contacts...ect! 

If you were rooted and are planning on sending your Galaxy S3 back to your carrier/manufacture reset your flash counter first! Click here to learn how to! 


1. Enter your phone into "Download Mode". Make sure your phone is unplugged and turned off.



2. Hold the volume down, home center, and power button at the same time. When you feel a vibration let go of the power, but keep holding onto the volume down and home button.



3. Press the volume up to continue.



4. Plug your phone via microUSB to your computer.



5. Download and extract Unroot/ Install Stock 4.1.1 JB on Galaxy S3 T-Mobile.zip below

6. Open Odin3 v1.85. 



7. In Odin you should see a yellow highlighted box on the left of the program. If you don't download and install Samsung Kies.


8. Click on "PDA" and locate the tar file that was extracted.



9. Click on "Start". This process will take about ten minutes. Once it finishes rebooting you will be on stock 4.1.1 Jelly Bean. 



10. If you get any errors or get stuck on bootlooop do a factory reset in stock recovery.


11. Power off your phone, then press the volume up, home center, and power button. Hold all three at the same time, when you feel a vibration let go of the power, but keep holding the volume up and center home button.



12. Select "Wipe Data / Factory Reset" and select "yes".



13. Select "Wipe Cache Partition".



14. Select "reboot system now" and your now on 100% stock and unrooted.



FAQ:

Q: The yellow COM bar isn't showing up on my "Odin" application, what do I do?
A: Download and install Samsung Kies on your computer, make sure your using the original Samsung microUSB cable, try a different USB port. 

Q: I keep getting a red "Fail" on my Odin screen, how do I fix this? 

A: Restart your computer, use a different USB port, and use a different USB cable. 

Q: Is this method safe enough that I can give this back to my manufacture / carrier?

A: Yes, this method will completely unroot your phone and remove any traces of you rooting your phone, just make sure you reset your flash counter mentioned at the top of the article.

How to Unroot/Install Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on Galaxy Nexus GSM! [Windows]

This guide will install the official Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on Galaxy Nexus GSM i9250 and also unroot your phone. Yes, after using this method you can send it back to the manufacture/carrier. 

Note! This will delete everything on your phone. Backup your phone! 

1. Enter your phone into bootloader mode. Hold the volume up, volume down, and power button all at the same time. Once you feel a vibration let go of the power, but keep holding onto the volume up and down button. 


2. Plug in your phone via microUSB. 


3. Download and extract Galaxy Nexus GSM Unroot.Stock 4.1.2 Windows.zip below.

4. Move the folder to your desktop.


5. Open Command Prompt and type: 
cd Desktop 
cd Galaxy Nexus GSM Unroot.Stock 4.1.2 Windows
fastboot flash bootloader bootloader-maguro-primelc03.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot flash radio radio-maguro-i9250xxlf1.img
fastboot reboot-bootloader
fastboot -w update image-yakju-jzo54k.zip

6. Your phone will now reboot and your are now on the full official Jelly Bean 4.1.2.


Only continue if you are going to send to back to your carrier or manufacture.

7. Now we are going to lock the bootloader. Enter your phone into bootloader mode. Hold the volume up, volume down, and power button all at the same time. Once you feel a vibration let go of the power, but keep holding onto the volume up and down button. 


8. In Command Prompt type:  fastboot oem lock.


9. Reboot your phone using the power button and you are now on 100% stock and it is safe to send back to the manufacture or your carrier.

This guide will install the official Jelly Bean 4.1.2 on Galaxy Nexus GSM i9250 and also unroot your phone. Yes, after using this method you can send it back to the manufacture/carrier. 

Note! This will delete everything on your phone. Backup your phone! 


1. Go to Settings > Developer Options, then turn on USB debugging. 


2. Plug in your phone via microUSB. 


3. Download and extract Galaxy Nexus GSM Unroot/Stock 4.1.2 below.

4. In the folder click on "Click Me.tool" 


5. Press enter, wait until your phone finishes booting up and your done! 


Only continue if you are going to send to back to your carrier or manufacture. 

6. Once your phone has finished booting up go into Settings > Developer Options, and turn on USB debugging again. 


7. Press enter on your computer screen and your done! Press the enter to reboot and your phone is now safe to send back to your carrier or manufacture.

How to Install Official Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 on Samsung Galaxy S2 T989 T-Mobile! [Windows]





It finally came out! The official Ice Cream Sandwich came out on 6/11/12 or 6/12/12 depending where you live. There was a lot of anger and despise against T-Mobile for quite some time because they didn't plan on releasing Ice Cream Sandwich any time soon. Finally T-Mobile released it but not without many customers being dissatisfied with their service. It eventually came out so lets starting enjoy the sweet taste of an Ice Cream Sandwich!

Note: Their is another way to install the Ice Cream Sandwich, but I'm going to show you the official way to install ICS. This is the only official way to truly get the official Ice Cream Sandwich.

This will delete EVERYTHING on your internal SD card. Not external SD card
Install Samsung Kies if you don't already have it: Here

1. First we will enter in "Download Mode". Hold down the volume up, volume down, and power button all at the same time. When you feel vibration let go of the power button, but keep holding on to the volume up and down button.

2. When you see a yellow warning triangle you can let go of all the buttons and press the volume up button to continue into "Download Mode"

3. Download and extract the files here:

--> Download: SGH-T989_UVLE1_ICS.zip
-->
4. Open odin3 v1.85.exe located in the extracted file

5. Make sure only  reboot is checked marked (located under the yellow bar)

6.Click PDA and find the file named: T989UVLE1_T989TMBLE1_T989UVLE1_HOME.tar.md5 (You extracted this file from: SGH-T989_UVLE1_ICS.zip

7. Click start and wait until your phone reboots

8. You phone is now on a fresh stock version of the official Ice Cream Sandwich.

9. If you get any errors or force closes you need to enter into "Stock Recovery"

10. Unplug your microUSB cable from your phone. Hold down the volume up, volume down, and power button all at the same time. When you feel a vibration let go of the power button but keep holding on to the volume up and down button.

11. When you entered into stock recovery choose "Wipe data/factory reset" by navigating up and down with the volume buttons and the power button to select an item.

12. Go down and choose "Yes"

13. Reboot and you will be a fresh Ice Cream Sandwich. Enjoy!
