DashClock is an excellent app for anyone who is running on Android version 4.2 or later,but this widget can still be used for older Android versions, but it has to be used as a homescreen widget rather than a lockscreen widget. 

With this widget you can see that the overall theme is white and transparent that looks great! You can make your lockscreen look even more sleek by adding your Gmail, weather, your own app, and many other extension! 

Also, this widget is completely free including the extension that you can separately download from the Play Store. I love this lockscreen widget, not only does it look great, but it's also very useful!
